Over the course of 40 shooting days, the cast and crew traversed from one end of Hong Kong to the other. From the cosmopolitan financial center to rural landscapes to the outlying islands, the production covered them all.
Not an easy task when there was more than one location in a day.
Weather was one of the biggest challenges.
An exterior location that looked beautiful when the cast and crew first arrived could suddenly turn inhospitable when the climate changed.
In fact, shooting had to be called off on a number of occasions due to bad weather.
Crowd control issues and traffic congestion was another challenge with severe restrictions imposed by various locations. For example, the airport scenes could only be filmed between 1AM to 6 AM. No exceptions. The cast and crew handled these constrains with great spirit, and lots of coffee.
Wired or not… “the Hong Kong crew is just amazing,” says Sean Faris 桑輝魯斯.
In all my years of working in Hollywood, I have never met crews as efficient and professional as the ones here. It’s unbelievable that the production completed on time and on schedule under such harsh conditions.

As Terence Yin 尹子維, who plays Ballet Master Victor Young, states…
“I’ve worked all over the world. But this shoot is a representation of how rare it is when the best of two different types of filming cultures combine. It’s a nice marriage. It feels very, very comfortable.”
