Internationally acclaimed actor WILL YUN LEE 李詳旭 was born in Arlington, Virginia, to parents recently emigrated from Korea.
He was raised by both immediate and extended family and moved often, exposed to life on the tough Bronx streets and idyllic Hawaiian beaches. By his teens he was living in the San Francisco area with his father, a Korean Tae Kwon Do Grandmaster. Lee also became an accomplished martial artist and won an athletic scholarship to the University of California at Berkeley.
Will Yun Lee 李詳旭 is immediately recognizable for his distinguished roles on both the big and small screens.
His memorable characters range from the villainous Colonel Tan-Sun Moon (“Die Another Day”), suave Jae Kim (“Bionic Woman”), martial arts assassin Kirigi (“Elektra”) to the creepy Sang Min (“Hawaii Five-O”).
In 2011, Lee starred in the ensemble thriller “Far Away Eyes” (aka “Four Assassins”). His mesmerizing portrayal of Marcus, a troubled killer, garnered a Gold Award for “Best Supporting Actor” at the 2011 WorldFest Houston International Film Festival and the Action On Film’s “Male Action Performer of the Year Award.”
Lee’s good looks have led to him being featured in People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful” and “25 Sexiest Men Alive” issues.
His most recent projects include the much anticipated 3D musical romance “Make Your Move” opposite Korean superstar BoA and the action remake “Red Dawn” with Chris Hemsworth. Lee also stars as Harada, master archer and leader of the Black Clan, in the blockbuster “The Wolverine” opposite Hugh Jackman. Will Yun Lee will next be seen in the Cinemax action series “Strike Back” (2015).
“Lost for Words” is Lee’s second collaboration with writer/director Stanley J. Orzel.
